3.8. Knowledge
Manage knowledge
To manage knowledge, you will first need to create a knowledge group that can subsequently be connected to an agent:
In the list of knowledge groups, you can view the number of connected knowledge sources, perform re-indexing (for example, if information on your website has been updated), and see the number of connected agents.
When creating a knowledge group, it is helpful to specify a name, description, and category to make it easier to locate in the control panel later:
After that, you are ready to proceed to the actual connection of knowledge sources.
Knowledge source
To manage knowledge sources, go to the corresponding section:
There, you can view all sources, their indexing status (availability to the agent), and the associated group.
When creating a new source of knowledge, select a previously created group (or create a new one here), indicate the name (and optional description) of the source.
After which you need to choose the source of knowledge itself:
A knowledge source can be plain text, a file (Word, Excel, PDF, MD, or HTML documents), a specific URL or an entire website (up to 50 nested pages), product feeds, etc.
Once the knowledge source is created, indexing (preparation for your agent) will take place; upon completion, the knowledge group will automatically be used by the linked agent.
